Beyond the Stud Films started with a simple idea: the things we build with our hands say a lot about who we are. Our founder, Louis Carmine, came up in hospitality before settling into a career in IT — but the love of craft, patience, and care never went anywhere. It just found a new outlet.

For Louis, building has always been more than a hobby. Through some of life's hardest chapters, snapping bricks together brought a sense of calm, focus, and possibility — one click at a time. Beyond the Stud Films grew out of that personal connection: a passion project devoted to telling honest stories about the people who build, and why it matters to them.

Based in Western Colorado, Louis is turning the lens on the community he loves — starting with the upcoming documentary What Builds Us.
